East Coast 2019 Fall Schedule will be posted the week of the event!

Woolsey Fire - Ventura County, CA Relief Effort

This weekend we have boys and girls flying to the East coast to from the Santa Monica Dragons & Fire Lacrosse Clubs compete in our event and they are dedicating their trip to raising money for fire victims in California. Players in their program and in their respective high school and youth programs have been directly affected by the Woolsey Fire in Ventura County, CA. They are hoping to use lacrosse as a vehicle to help those in need during this difficult time. The fires have burned over 96,000 acres (as of 11/13) and are only 35% contained. The expected date for full containment is 11/18. So far, roughly 435 homes and businesses have been destroyed, with another 24 with damage The damage is so significant school authorities canceled school through 11/23.

Tragic as it may be, this event has shown how much lacrosse means to these players, and we only hope to return the support to them and other families that have given so much to this game. When it came time to evacuate, some of the Dragons/Fire players, with few options and no time to grab valuables packed their jerseys and lacrosse gear over anything else.

They have created a RallyUp.com under the name Fire Lacrosse Relief (https://go.rallyup.com/firelacrosserelief) to collect funds for lacrosse families in the Ventura County area affected by this disaster. The fund is administered by a non-profit and all donations are tax-deductible.

We would very much appreciate if you could assist in helping the relief effort in these communities devasted by these tragic fires.

DI Headliner 2018 - Taylor Mendoza, Penn State Asst. Coach

Taylor Mendoza (Cortland ’13) – Taylor joined the Nittany Lions staff in 2018 after coaching  for DIII powerhouse Amherst College. While at Amherst, Mendoza coached 8 All-Americans & guided the Mammoth's EMO unit to be the #3 rated Man Up unit in the country which in turn helped them reach the NCAA tournament. He also worked with the face-off unit that saw a 23% increase during his time & a top 20 national ranking in that category. During his playing days at Cortland, Mendoza only lost 5 games in his four years, reaching the NCAA quarterfinals, championship game & semifinal game in his final 3 seasons respectively.

D III Headliner 2018 - Will Pilat, Wesleyan College Asst. Coach

Will Pilat (Roanoke '16) – Will is returning for his third season with Wesleyan, the defending national champs, to help lead the offense & goaltenders. He has coached multiple All-American attackmen & goalies while guiding the man up unit to a top 20 national ranking in 2018. During his playing career, Pilat was a two time All-American who played for his father & legendary Roanoke coach, Bill Pilat. He notched over 200 career points for the Maroons, finishing as one of their top 10 scorers in program history.

Playing Time and Substitution Policy and Coaching
Each team is assigned three college coaches for all games all day long. Every attempt will be made to play all players evenly as this is a pure showcase. There will most likely be a set EMO and MDD team which will allow those players more PT but that is the only variance. We will run middies 'hockey style' which means one after the other. There are no set lines. It will likely change game to game.

Refunds
There are no refunds after your paid registration for any reasons except the following situations. If you are severely injured prior to the event we will offer a partial refund of $150 if we receive an email by 11/13/19 and we can get you a replacement player. If you commit to college prior to the event we still want you to play. If you absolutely do not wish to play as a committed player please email us and if we can replace you we will refund you $150. Again, in all circumstances, if we can't get a replacement player for your position then there will be no refund.
